BARDO STORY

Bardo comes from the Bosnian word ‘dobar’ meaning ‘good’ and that’s what we aim to be; good products, good benefits and doing a bit of good as well.
Bardo was founded by Lili, a British Bosnian who moved to the UK as a refugee from the war in 1992. Living in a very different environment and circumstances, Lili and her family continued to keep alive the knowledge they had grown up with in Bosnia and which had been passed down through generations: using powerful, natural plant extracts to help with everything from runny noses and bruises to sleeplessness and the uncertainties of starting a new life.
Lili has lived in London ever since, but she has always been driven by a deeply personal mission to make a positive economic impact in her home country. Her desire to help create career opportunities for women in Bosnia led to her starting Bardo from a small artisanal kitchen in Sarajevo in 2018.
